Finally nearly 4 months in I am remembering to take my camera EVERYWHERE with me. Have missed lots of shots but today I had it with even though I didn't plan on taking photos, so when this lonesome poppy screamed out to have it's photo taken against this peeling painted gate I could do so. I know 365 is poppy mad at the moment but so am I.
@dibzgreasley sounds lovely and like you deserve it. Sometimes I think a small break away leads to better productivity than just constantly keeping going so I hope you come back rested and refreshed abit.
i just love poppies and don't get bored with them (or with most other flowers, I confess). The pov, and the bright vibrant colours and great detail, make this shot a definite fav for me.
This is a fantastic composition with striking contrasts in color and in natural/manmade. So great you are carrying your camera -- this is the kind of shot that makes it all worthwhile!
