I love the catchlights you captured in his eyes. You got a great moment here-fingers in mouth, wide eyes. Such a great childhood capture. I only wish I could see just a bit more of his eyes. It's so tough to frame when they move so quickly! :-)
Thoughts: this is wonderful! :) I would keep just a tad more of the eye that's cropped, if possible but not necessary to evoke the "aaaawwwww" response from most, if not all, breathing adults!
I don't think ISO is a problem here at all. There's a softness to the image that you could bring out more in processing of you wanted and that might reduce grain, but I wouldn't if it were my photo. I love the tight crop, the sheer youth of that kind of mess. A lovely portrait!
Nice one Ruth! I like the composition and there is enough detail where it matters. Given that chocolate is an important element i'm glad it's not in colour! Happy Christmas to you and yours, back in 2015 with any luck .. and a bit more discipline in getting out with the camera!
@yrhenwr look forward to you being back. I'm coming back properly then too. My iron medication has perked me up quicker than I thought but still tired. This was bad b and w photography, or lazy, shot in camera monotone mode.
@newbank I'm tired too.. but I always am at this this time of year. Regular outdoor exercise works as an antidote for me (harder at this time of year) I've also tried a SAD lamp for those really gloomy days. My wife regularly takes Floradix (from health food shops) to combat low iron.
