Wasp without a macro lens

I didn't get to post yesterday, the internet was down. This is a pic from the weekend anyway, but I was really happy with it considering I took it with my 18-55 kit lens. View large.

That is so cool Stacey, it looks like he is hanging on for dear life. I find that a zoom sometimes works better because you can get them without disturbing them. Especially with butterflys.

@seanoneill Ha Sean, if only I had a zoom lens! this is just the kit 18-55. @lyno Some of the others were not as steady, this guy was very focused on what it was doing...chewing up wood, I don't think it even noticed me.
