Thanks everyone - I'm hoping that someone on 365 is a star-gazer and can tell me whether or not that bright spot in the Western sky is a planet...I'm thinking Venus, but I can't confirm it...

Wonderful shot. I think that's Venus. I was sitting with a friend on his porch at twilight a couple of weeks ago and Venus was right above the moon. My friend pulled out his Android phone with Google night sky on it, held it up to the sky and it revealed all the planet & star positions. Simply crazy.
