I work in a school office and today we had a special ANZAC Assembly in school. It culminated in a very passionate and rousing haka performed by some of the boys, which made the hairs on the back your neck stand up.
I've selected a photo where most faces aren't shown and blocked out those that can be seen with the words. The girl who you can see over the shoulder of one of the boys is my daughter although she won't thank me for showing this not very attractive photo of her!
@tillystartedit Thanks Katie. Just thought I'd let you know that I'm her Mum though - Nick is short for Nichola. Both my daughters are at the school and they do get very embarrassed when I'm around - I try to stay out of their way as much as possible.
@nickspicsnz As I typed "Dad" I wondered!! Sorry - what a mistaka to maka when talking about the haka (that was clever wasn't it!) - and I think all children are embarrassed of their parents once they get to about age 8 onwards - Pippa at 5 is still keen on me being in school as a parent helper, Abby and Matty would prefer to pretend they have no idea who I am!!
I love this photo of your daughter as it looks like she knows you are taking this and is also proud of what you will show! And its so good - typically NZ and shows the exuberance and sincerity! fav
