This is one of the thermal pools at Wai-o-Tapu near Rotorua. The colours are caused by the different minerals deposits, e.g. the yellow/green is caused by sulphur/arsenic and the orange by antimony/arsenic, and that's why it's called the Artist's Palette. The steamy area (top right) is the Champagne Pool.
You capture this so beautifully. Interesting, there is an Artists Palette area in Death Valley National Park here, where the tones emerge from the mountain/rocks. It has the same feeling in one way, though a totally different area.
