Tilly and I went for a Sunday afternoon drive today. I tried to find a scenic reserve that was marked on the map and ended up going on a road I hadn't been on before. A lot of it was gravel and it was very twisty and winding with sheer drops on the side (they were covered in trees but I knew they were there!). I never found the reserve but did spot this rustic gate and fence absolutely smothered in lichen. I'll post a picture in my second album of Tilly patiently waiting while I took photos of this gate and fence from every angle imaginable!
@yorkshirekiwi I'd have to double check on the map. It was out Matahuru/Waiterimu way. There may be another road to get access to it - will have to explore further another day.
