Toetoe by nickspicsnz

Toetoe

NZ's native version of pampas grass. Driving around there are lots of different types and they really come into their own in early autumn.

I never knew this grass had that name, I always called it just pampas grass. It looks a wee bit more golden than our UK pampas grass.

@phil_howcroft @paul10 @onewing @agedrunner @rickster549 @adi314 Thanks so much. The light on the toetoe is quick striking at the moment, especially in the evening (I don't know about early morning but I expect it's the same ;) ).
@happypat There seem to be lots of different shades and shapes of the heads in NZ, from brownish through a range of whites and creams to a pinky colour. It still amazes me that they grow in the wild here and aren't a cultivated garden plant.
