When we moved into our house there was an old aviary in the garden. My husband has decided to turn one part of it into a butterfly garden as we can control how many butterflies lay eggs in there. He's planted a LOT of swan plants for Monarch caterpillars but also some flowers for the butterflies. We're going to give the plants a chance to establish this year and then let the butterflies at it next spring. However, one of the larger swan plants we bought seems to have had about 15 or so eggs on it that hatched. We've now got about chrysalis and a few big fat caterpillars that should turn soon. Can't wait to see the butterflies emerge. For Feb Words - Garden.
