Last week I bought a shabby chic green chair because I feel in love with it as soon as I saw it and because I thought it would make a great photo prop.
I have had mixed reactions to my new chair and my youngest daughter thinks it is old and ugly. I don't believe her and I know that it is going to get a lot of use.
I love old chairs.. especially green ones with peeling paint.. that is a lovely texture.. and great dof.. makes the flower pop out and look fresher.. (if it is possible).. nice photo..
Shabby chic is definitely a wonderful back drop for photos. The texture alone really puts a spark in the background. Add in the beautiful muted colors and there's another gem in the shot. This is so pretty. But it does take age and experience to see beauty in these things.
@psychographer - thank you Lisa, I did look a bit funny walking the streets of Canberra with my new chair under my arm. I found it in an op shop around the corner from my office.
@cazann - it does have a great sense of character and I am going to look forward to taking photos with it @emmasteil - thanks Emma @joluise - now the challenge is on to come up with creative ideas on how to use it @amyspada - thanks amy @simster - thank you Simmy @olivetreeann - I couldn't agree with you more Ann. @emrob - thanks Mandy @timandelke - I don't think my bank balance is loving it at the moment! @inertie - thank you so much @leigh7900 - thanks Leigh, hopefully on the weekend I might expose some more :)
