Early upload today since I have to leave for an evening at school in half an our. This also means no time for commenting, will catch up tomorrow :)
Every spring we have a pair of ducks in our pond. They come and visit us when they want and eat, swim and lay around in and by the pond. They really seem to like it, eventhough we are not feeding them or anything. Almost every year they come visit us with their babys as well. Just for one day to teach them how to swim I think and then they leave again. About two weeks ago they showed up after a winter break. And now they are in our pond almost every day. I wanted to get a picture of them, but when they saw me coming towards them with the camera the mister told the wife they had to leaf. So I got 2 shots of them in the water when they flew of. Had to respond quickly and took some pictures from them in flight, without knowing what I was doing ;) I should manual and the settings were for the lighting conditions in the pond, but I liked how this turned out :) I have another shot that looked great on camera, but makes me dizzy looking at it on the computer screen. I think I will post that tomorrow in my extra's album.
Your narrative was identical to ours on a daily basis! In our case, it's a pool, and yes, I do feed the birds, so they partake as well! They've been coming here for so many years, I can pour out the birdseed and they stand nearby and wait for me to leave! (As I write, Ken's out brushing down the pool ...again... )
