As for the Photoshop side, that was not difficult at all. What I did:
1. I used Adobe Raw to bring out the blacks and the whites.
2. I cleaned up the image of any lines that was distracting or where the lens was dirty by using a mask layer.
3. I then used an invert layer to invert the colours in the image.
4. I used Silver Efex Pro to change the photo into black and white.
5. After that I duplicated the layer and then increased the canvas size.
6. I then moved and flipped the duplication layer and placed it next the to the original layer.
7. I added the frames and that was it.
