Mine engine house by nigelrogers

Mine engine house

One of many old engine houses in Cornwall. These buildings were either old entrances into a mine where an engine would operate a lift for the miners, or in some cases, especially closer to the coast, the engine would operate a pump to take water out of the tunnels. Copper and Tin were the main materials mined, in fact Cornwall once had the biggest tin mine in the world.
I like it!
