Grazing the Long Paddock

In times of drought, the roadside verges can be opened up for cattle to graze, hence the name, 'The long paddock'. Traffic is warned to slow down either end and the drovers are with them them for weeks or months, as the cattle walk 20 to 30 km a day for hundreds of kilometers along the roads.
