I seem to be in a bit of a grit and grime mode... likely as a defence mechanism to being pushed ;p

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my "uncomfortable" photo... it was a good experience, and it got me into the museum for the first time in years!

This is an incredibly well done photo. It reminds me of a gangster scene from the 70's. The b&w tones are so well suited. Fav.

@binny tx Binny... no, this scene is not in any way connected to the other one... although both are from backs of buildings that face on to the same road... but there are 2 o 3 blocks between them :)

When I was looking through your calendar for the challenge, this photo really stood out. It is really exceptional!! I know it was a while ago, but do you remember what you did to it in post? It has such a great feel to it!

@tryeveryday tx so much Michelle! this was edited in nik silver effex pro... i used the high contrast smooth preset and then likely played with it some... as i recall, the wall at the top right was too bright and distracting, so i likely darkened it... i prolly also added some toning, ambrotype maybe? or coffee? i'm afraid i don't really recall...

Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I haven't used that, but the effect is awesome!!
