Strawberry Splash

My counter is now VERY clean :)

This photo is intended to serve two purposes:

1. For "get pushed", Wendy (@wenbow) challenged me to capture a water splash in colour...

2. And that thing going splash is a strawberry... which is food... thus, food photography for the One Night Stand Two challenge...

@northy I am always curious as to the backgrounds. Did you do this on a mirror with a black background or was it in post. Sometimes I make a black background in post, which can take a while as I suck at editing.

I love this!! Great shot and perfect for the ONS challenge. Strawberries are my favourite food :) I have lots of colours of bristol board and use them for backdrops all the time.... cheap and easy to use :)

@payalminhas hi Payal... it's just a splash shot - there are many similar examples on 365... it takes a bit of trial and error, but basically i just dropped a strawberry into the martini glass which was very full of water and kept taking pictures until i got one with a splash i liked... because the glass was so full, the water went flying all around when the berry landed... i used flash in order to freeze the action, and so caught the water mid-air...
