Took this while driving into the sunset on the road to Sault Ste. Marie on Friday (my husband was driving - not me!)...
I have a gazillion photos to sift thru (most of which are from a family reunion for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday) and at the moment I'm feeling like I am so far behind on EVERYTHING I have no idea how I'll ever catch up...
One step at a time, right?
Thank you all for being so nice about my bw collage... I feel I really need more time to learn to take pictures properly, take pictures, and then go thru them to weed out all but the best...
One step at a time is right. I am ruthless right after importing and trash a lot of stuff. Some say to keep everything but if I did that I'd need to keep buying hard drives at an alarming rate... lol. Good luck on catching up! Love this unusual golden light from you :)
Very lovely...the hardest thing is the weeding out. I always hum and haa about deleting because I think I will go back and edit or use it, but most likely never will. You will catch up eventually.
@aspada@newbie i've sgtarted to become fairly ruthless as well... and flag a bunch of stuff for immediate deletion (altho' i can't figure out how to make lightroom delete the ones i've x'd! must get on that!)
@shutterbugger no moose! but lots of warning signs about moose!
@btorrey not sure how come the windshield was still clean... by the time we were on our way home the windshield was disgusting!
To delete photos in Lightroom that you have rejected (marked with an X) first select All Photographs on the left hand side under catalog, then go up to PHoto in the menu bar and in the drop down menu you'll find Delete Rejected Photos. Choose Delete from Disk if you want to trash them completely and not just remove them from Lightroom.
grand shot!! To add to Amy's hints for rejecting and deleting in LR: in Library view, choose the "rejected" flag from the Attributes menu. This will give you a grid view of ONLY the photos you have marked with the "X". Then "select all" (on the Mac, the shortcut is Command-A) and hit the "delete" key to get the menu choices Amy has described above. Learning these shortcuts revolutionized my use of Lightroom which I think is the grandest tool out there. . .
Love the sunflairs and the color is amazing.
