So... this is almost-but-not-quite what I was going for... i think i need to try this again with natural light... you know... like... in the DAYTIME... when the SUN is actually shining... any other suggestions for improving this shot are more than welcome... ;p
Thank you for all the recent visits and comments... I am afraid I am very behind in commenting back and i won't be able to get to that before Sunday as we are going away for a couple days...
PSA: I am leaving early tomorrow (Friday) morning for out-of-town (kids have a hockey tournament) so get pushed pairings for next week will be posted on Sunday instead of Saturday for this go around...
Cracking up at your tags again! Very cool shadow! Your dungeon shots have such great textures...going to have to explore our unfinished basement for possibilities. :-)
@cmc1200 tx Caryn... i'm not convinced i have it right at all... but i know i won't know what's right until i try and get it wrong many times over... ;p
@sunshinephoto5 nope! it's me who's losing it... i ordered this chair online... i had the idea to do this weeks ago and i've been searching the stores high and low for a suitable doll house chair without any luck... and then i found an online source, and of course it was silly to pay shipping for just one item, so i bought other stuff as well... my husband and kids are nothing short of appalled ;p
Hehe! I can just imagine the look on your hubby's face :)
I really like this, def gives a creepy feel like something's happened to the kid that sat in the chair or something!!
A Fav :O) I just love everything in this shot. Best viewed large together with the song. For me it activated a journey through the time back to the 80s.
Made a "music-shot" on 27th of January as well. And I was concerned if a photo-music-combination in general might be annoying. But that question is answered right now. Thank you for this wonderful shot!
What an amazing and creative shot! I love the long lighting and shadows :) And what a perfect fit to the song :) I like how you've grown attached to the chair :) Made me smile :)
That dungeon floor is creating some a great shots ...hehe Keep it up, I enjoy seeing what you come up with :) My only suggestion would be if you wanted it more dramatic increasing the clarity of the cracks in the floors. sharper lines. :)
@sistawood tx Lisa! I was playing w the sliders and I think ended up pulling down the clarity because I was thinking it made it a bit dreamier... Not sure I succeeded tho'
What a great dungeon. I want one. ;) It reminds me of a suspense/horror story where the person was abducted (Close Encounters feeling....). Enjoy your trip - hope they win!
I like it, a lot actually. A certain sense of mystery, the unknown, well apart from knowing its a dolls chair in the basement, but I'll pretend I didn't read that bit. Enjoy ya triperty trip trip :)
@northy Suggestion. I'd have the set up with light as you've got it. However i'd have the chair upright and facing the light, directly facing the light, the long shadow suggesting the fading memory......
Great shadow effect, this emotes a bit of sadness or lonliness...or abandonment. Kind of scary a bit too...maybe I have been watching too much Dexter again.
