For the last three days I've been trying to get a shot of Old City Hall that I liked... I think this may be as close as I am gonna get for now...

This is for architecture week for the flash-o-red theme set by @olivetreeann - a month of black and white with a spot of red on the 14th...

I put a subway shot in my other album because it's been a few weeks and i've been going thru withdrawal ;p

Thank you for the continued views, comments, favs and follows... I am working on catching up with everyone - please bear with me :)

Cromwell's rule of photographing archietecture (which he rarely ever does): If it has gargoyles -- shoot it.

this is packed with much detail...arches, columns, clock, stone, tiles, gargoyles, windows of varying sizes, shapes...tons to soak in! love it.

Great POV! Nice lines!

I'd say you did a fine job--the pov and centered framing works really well. As does the b/w!

Those gargoyles are really peering down ... hope they don't drool! Seriously - very nice symmetry, composition, and POV.

My favorite gargies ! :-) *Perfect* symmetry, I think it works very well in this case. Fav.

February 7th, 2013
@maggiemae yep! you can just sorta see the top half of it...
February 7th, 2013
@janim tx Jani! i'm glad you found it was symmetrical... i've been struggling with this all week...

I like the pov and framing of this northy, reflects the fab symmetry of the building to a t!
February 7th, 2013
Really good angle. The squareness and framing make those gargoyles pop (if that's the word for it).

Love this pov! I still need to take a shot of this building from street level. The only pic I have taken of Old City Hall is this one: http://365project.org/russianblue/2012/2012-05-12
