this is Spadina subway station, as reflected in one of those curvy mirrors that help you see around corners... it's been edited to death in lightroom (then again, most of my shots are) including addition of split tones... for the etsooi reflection challenge...
for the record i declarified and messed bigtime with contrast and the tone curve... cropped, angled the shot and added the split tones... in addition to, of course, white balance, lens distortion correction, sharpening and converting to black and white... arguably all things i do on a regular basis so i am not sure this properly qualifies as etsooi... so maybe this doesn't really count?
i think it looks better bigger, but i've been saying that a lot lately, so maybe my eyes are just getting wonkier ;p
@ozziehoffy@vase tx for the comments guys.. i decided i didn't like the crop so i moved the one you commented on to my other album and restricted it so as not to bore people too much by making them look at the same shot twice (well - except for you guys... sorry!)...
Wow -- that is some great editing! I didn't realize that this was the theme this week for ETSOOI. It gives me new hope for one of my photos! I love the curves in this.
"i think it looks better bigger, but i've been saying that a lot lately" I had to snigger. I do agree though, about this image. Very cool in cool blue, too.
Right in the middle of the image, there looks like half a woman's face, with really long eyelashes, watching over the solo traveler. But then I might be hallucinating. Fav, I love it, northy!
@archaeofrog tx Katie... I think it's less about the mirrors and more about the location... That stations design is cool w those funky tiles, and several staircases :).
I love all the angles and the linear shapes then the curved reflection adds an awesome twist! No reason not to call it etsooi - you just etsooi a lot! - Not a bad thing at all!
Most pictures do look better viewed large. :)
