thanks everyone for the continued views, comments and favs... i have once again fallen behind in commenting back... i'm going to take a run at getting caught up tonight, but it will likely be several days before i can feel confident about being on top of things :(
@northy Really, I owe so much of that to following your work and pushing myself to learn about b&w which I've always loved, but haven't ever tackled seriously. Your work is creative and interesting, as well as technically so strong. Anyway, thanks!
oh yes, this is brilliant. Fav for sure. BTW, do you hang out at the same place for longer times ? I don't have the patience for it, I just wish I get lucky if I see light like this...
This is a great shot, the people crossing the road are nicely spaced, the rimlights are fab, the starbursts on the cars, the lighting on the overhead wires .... and the processing, perfect. Fav.
Hey, we all seem to be in the same boat re. the commenting thing. It's a never ending battle isn't it! This is just awesome. Absolutely great biggened. They look as if they're hovering just above the ground. Fav xx
Hubby walked by as I pulled up your pic and said "Wow, great take on Abbey Road!" before he even saw the title! So then I was trying to think of some pithy comment that would include titles form the album but they all seem a bit contrived, so I'll just tell you I think this is an excellent shot all the way around, am amazed you captured it (timing is everything or you are extremely patient at street corners), and have added it to my favs! Excellent shot!
@janim i rarely have more than 5 or 10 minutes max... this is a stretch of road right outside the office building where i work... the sequence of the street lights is such that there are often stretches of time when there are no cars on this patch of road (which is wonderful for dashing across the street to starbucks ;p)... at certain times of the year the late afternoon light is scrumptious... every day it's like this after work i take a few minutes to shoot... some days i get something worth posting, some days i don't...
