stairs to parkade

went in search of some scenes suitable for my push challenge of tilt shift... still no luck... the bit of research i've done suggests it wise to avoid humans when working with tilt shift - sadly, it is difficult to avoid humans in Toronto ;p i had decided to ignore this advice, but my human-filled shots from today did not work with tilt shift at all... will have to come up with something different to try...

it's late and i need sleep... catch up with y'all tomorrow!
Awesome shot

Are you using regular camera on this?

Great comp

great shot. the only tilt shifts ive made work are from above, ie looking down on things/people... you could try that?

fun high key and composition
- the advice I got for tilt shift is to take from above - about 45 degrees or 30 degrees on to the scene. If you can get a bustling street or station from above, they work in tilt shift - stations are good from above

Another cracking shot for your fantastic portfolio. Great composition and processing.

Nice high key effect. I have experimented with tilt sift in a shopping mall, which is just loaded with people. Jerry @orangecrush did a tilt shift using a picture taken at a fair ( http://365project.org/orangecrush/year-2/2012-07-05). Essentially as long as you are above the subject pretty much anything should work

Great composition and processing, overall, love the feel of this image

Like the processing and think the figure actually makes the image stronger.

I think tilt shift works great on people! If you're still using Topazlabs they have a Topaz lens effects, you can try for free, that has a tilt shift effect that works great! You can adjust the blur and angle! Just get high on something before you shoot! ;o)

@orangecrush tx Jerry - you managed to make the people tilt shift really well... To date my experiments have sucked (failure of composition I think, not of angle or pov)... Took some more shots today trying to take more care w the comp and hopefully one will work :)

Photoshop has a great tilt shift tool, so I think I'll be fine in that quarter - but good to know other options are out there if I need them :)
