on Sunday when i took the new 70D for a walk i took a tour of a small cottage museum on the park grounds... wanted to experiment with how well the camera fared in low light - which i think is pretty decent... not at all my usual sort of thing... i don't dislike it, but it doesn't feel like "me" ;p
Love the light here. Reminds me of a place I went to recently...a presidents birthplace from the 1800's. I loved the light in the place but wasn't feeling like photos.
Yes it does seem a bit strange to say "very pretty" to you! But, actually, if you had been able to play with this, I could easily see you adding a ghostly figure to this shot and it would totally fit you!
your description that it doesn't "feel like me", is so interesting because I was thinking just the opposite. Your style is so different than mine that I really enjoy thinking about your shots and what makes them so intriguing. I thought this one went right along with the others. My description of your style would be dark (but in a good way) with specific/targeted use of light. And this falls into that description.
Good sell. If I weren’t a Pentax man, I’d be looking into the 70D now…
Even if you feel this isn’t «you», there’s a lot of «you» in it… and I wouldn't mind you trying out more of this.

i really wanted to wonder around by myself and play with the light and some camera settings, but they don't let you do that - guided tours only... :)
