sooooooo... Jan Harris (@macromover) challenged me to do high speed photography this week... this is 6 images taken at 1/1000s melded together... i would really like to work on this concept more, but i am horribly short on time and i still have my hatter shot to do...
there was something else i really really wanted to try, but couldn't pull it off this week...
@kwind it's pretty easy, really... i have a high-speed continuous option on my camera... i use a tripod, take a bunch of images, select a few and layer in PS... it's a bit fiddly to get the opacity right - but it didn't take too long with some trial and error... it would have been easier if i had images that didn't overlap - but that wasn't quite the idea that i had in my head...
This is really creative. Without PS, I suspect I can't do it, but I'd like to try this later in the summer. It really makes for an interesting shot. Fav.
Ow, wow. I really love this, what an amazing idea. I'm certainly going to keep this concept in mind for the future. Fav fav fav.
Thank you for my challenge, although I'm not too sure what you mean by a set up shot that looks like it belongs in a magazine. I'm thinking fashion magazine, house and home magazine, travel magazine, nature magazine, photographic magazine - seems to give me plenty of scope. If you have something more specific in mind, let me know. Or maybe I'll ask you what else you had in mind?
Now for your challenge. I really love your stuff and your style, you are a very talented photographer. I notice, looking through your albums, that most of your shots are monochrome or subdued colours. Given that, and that I heard a weatherman inform us that yesterday was the first day of meteorological summer I want you to post a SOOC shot with vivid colours that SCREAMS summer. Hope that works for you.
@pennyp bahaaaaaaa! You shld see my hatter shot from yesterday - there's a reason I avoid colour ;p. ok - I'll give it a shot - at any rate it will force me to figure out some of the settings on my new camera that I haven't looked into yet...
As for your challenge - I was thinking home and garden, but wanted to give you a bit more freedom to choose in case that is an alien concept for you (it kind of is for me - so I would totally get that!)
So sorry I missed this Northy and it is so brilliant. Really well done, so impressive. I have read all the comments you made about how you did it so I wont ask more. I so wish I knew more about my photography.
Hi Northy, could you please excuse me from the Get-pushed challenges until further notice. Thanks and also thanks for all your hard work in organising the whole challenge. You are awesome ;-)
