this is for my get-pushed challenge... this week Anne (@anne_k) challenged me to "take a SOOC image using light and shadow to create a sense of drama"...
this is sooc using a monochrome picture style with the contrast boosted as high as it can go, and sharpness almost as high... i used the orange filter effect as i think it was bringing up the blue of the stamp the best...
@anne_k here's one response to the challenge you set... the nice thing about sooc is you don't have to do anything after you take it out of the camera... the sucky thing about it, of course, is making sure it's RIGHT in camera ;p i hope to be able to have more fun with this over the week!
fabulous sense of drama and mood captured here with your lighting. I met up with Taffy last evening and she was telling me about your penguins and that you were sending her one.
I think Taffy will take good care of Mr. Penguin.....I love the way they are looking at each other, and the little kid on skis on the stamp that is sending him off!
@bill_fe well you know... one needs an "heir and a spare"... or two or three or four! ;p i picked up a few extra when i was getting one for Taffy... "just in case"... oh, and really, my 1000th should have been a while ago... i've got lots of holes in my project this year...
@northy thanks that explains it. I could never understand people when they said sooc but shot RAW as I know any RAW shot of mine would need at least some tweaking.
