to all my friends in southern climes - i give you the frigid great white north... i think it may have warmed up to -18C today - although this doesn't take into account windchill... it felt more like -33C...
It does pop on black. I can related to the image well. It is a pain in the arse when one has to dig a spot out in order to find placement for the weekly trash. It doesn't help when the city plow comes and fills it in for you either. Good imagery and effort here.
This is probably related to the beer cans that made it to the top of the mountain when they were but were just too darn heavy to carry back down when they were empty.
We are not as cold as you are temperature wise, but it feels like it! Good shot!
Great on black! We are partnered again, and setting a challenge is a challenge! I love your creativity and masterful use of light. I thought it might be fun to incorporate words within the frame of the photograph this week. I've seen this a few times in your albums, but not often. If this doesn't work for you, just let me know.
@aecasey do you mean photos of words? Or found letters? Or processing to include words? I am up for any of these (and it's true, I don't tend to put words in my photos any way you look at it, so it will be a good thing to work on :)
@northy I was looking for some creative photography ideas and thought this looked interesting: http://www.clickinmoms.com/blog/creativity-exercise-words-around-us/ . I also really liked your graffiti "caught in the act" from July. I know it's pretty simple, but thought you might find it interesting.
@yaorenliu yes - the high today is predicted at -14... At the moment it is, in theory, -22... Have to say my walk yesterday was still pretty nice... But ya gotta dress for it!
@humphreyhippo our house heats very unevenly - one needs to shed several layers between 3rd floor (the tropics) and first floor (considerably more chill) ;p
