this was meant to be part of a larger thing that i am working on, but so far the larger thing is not coming out right... but i kinda liked how this came out and i haven't the time to do anything else tonight…

? did you play with any other position & angles? My brain struggles & my eyes jump between the squares, diagonal line of the heads, and the curves of the face. ( IMHO) :-) great concept & can see where you are going ...

@ltodd txt for the honest feedback Lyn... The short answer is that I played w lots of angles and positions - but mostly because this was intended to be melded into another piece and so I needed that positioning and angle to make it work... Had I been planning this as a standalone, I would definitely have angled it differently... Unfortunately this didn't meld well w the other component - still not sure if that overall concept is a dud, or if I need to take a different approach w the chess component... I have a version that almost is what I am after, but am sitting on it until tomorrow to look at with fresh eyes...
