day of the grackle by northy

day of the grackle

taken at the beach in Mexico... next to the pelicans, these were my favourite birds... such long elegant legs, and such derisive expressions on their faces :)
Puts you in mind of the Birds movie.

GREAT capture of this elusive bird -- I never had one still enough to capture. I like how it's looking right at us.

I love this shot. But I don't share your love of the grackle. Aggressive, noisy birds! Give me a pelican any day!

OK as your get pushed partner this week - I am quite a fan of colour but I'll resist giving you something along that line as I think you've probably had enough after last weeks...

So how about an image (in whatever colour or lack of colour tickles your fancy) that portrays a famous fairytale or childrens story. Like Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Little Red Riding Hood (though that might need red in it!) - you get the idea.

Doable? Let me know if not.

I have never heard anyone describe a grackle as their favorite bird in any context! Haha

boggles the mind how he could be standing on such an edge.
