does a tree leaf count as "flora"?

i'm not sure about this... however, according to one website:
http://www.differencebetween.info/difference-between-tree-and-plant
"Trees differ from other plants in the Kingdom because of their trunk, which earns them the name of a perennial plant. From the thick stem, more stems rise on which there are leaves. ... In short, trees and plants have a lot more in common than difference."

so that's what i'm going with... for the black and white challenge of "flora"...
https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/30976/black-and-white-challenge-23-flora

and also, of course, for flash-of-red February... https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/31004/flash-of-red-february-2018-begins-in-4-days

in the interests of full disclosure, this was actually a high key shot that i inverted in photoshop... as i prefer it this way :)

and yes - it was taken yesterday... today i did other stuff...
Wow!

Well if it's not fauna, it's flora in my book. :)
This is lovely. Really nice job with the lighting here.

interesting that it looks so natural when its an inversion

I like that you inverted it! It pulls off the high contrast but has a completely different feel than "the usual" way of capturing such a photo.

Wanting to enter this challenge as well, I did a check and flora simply means any plant life in a particular region. :-) So a lovely entry for the challenge.
