glacier walk...

today we took a walk on the glacier... i'm not entirely clear on what the glacier is called... it is not the "mer de glace", but it is a glacier coming down off of Mont Blanc on the French side of the alps... interestingly the base is on the Italian side, but once you cross the barrier to the glacier you're on the French side...

this is looking back towards the base on the left... if you zoom in, you'll see the gondolas strung up between the two peaks as well as other glacier walkers...

we had great weather today - blue skies can end up nicely dramatic when converted to black and white 😎...

@domenicododaro thanks! i don't love gondolas either... i don't do well with heights and being suspended that high above the mountain tops gives me the heeby jeebies... but yeah - you get some pretty good views, and after a half dozen gondola rides over the last 5 days i figure i'm now a "pro" gondola rider 😂
