unaccountably the subway station i leave from in the morning is above ground... it's got windows for walls in some spots and they've pasted on bird silhouettes - ostensibly to prevent birds from flying into thee glass (which i've never understood... won't thee birds see their friends and think it's a safe place to be?)...
anywho... i thought it looked kind of interesting this morning with the wet ice on the windows so this happened... and as nothing else happened today... this will have to do...
It's quite striking—although as I typed that, I thought it might not be quite the right word for an image of a window sticker designed to prevent just that action. Ah well, good image for a day when 'nothing else happened'!
Great shot. I’m with you on the pasted decals. Seems like it would just confuse the birds. On the other hand, does that look like the silhouette of one of those hawks that eats little birds? Maybe that wold scare them off.
