Where does architecture end and design begin? I was debating whether to include the Museum subway station in my main album for architecture week, but in the end I decided not to... I think I may have gone just a smidgeon overboard in editing, but after 6 or 7 edits on the clock tower in my other album, i haven't the energy to rethink this ;p
You have captured that gritty underground feel beautifully. A lot going on here with elements that complement one another. Not over processed at all to me.
Well, it's definitely architecture. I love the composition with the statue/carving. Did you overly darken the left edge over the rest? The vignetting really draws you in toward the people. Very cool.
@archaeofrog yep... i added quite a bit of dark all over, but a lot more on the left than anywhere else... there were some bright spots there that were distracting and i kinda got carried away trying to de-emphasize them ;p
I think the person could've been a bit lost there without your edit. Now the eye goes right to her. Love those statues, and cool too see you paint a bit ;)
The motion blur is cool can feel the movement contrasted with the still look on her face. Your edit is perfect. Rich and compelling photo northy - Fav!
I love this. As so many others have mentioned, your capture of the contrast of motion with stillness is awesome. Don't know what the original looked like, but this finished version rocks!
