this week for get pushed, Amit (@lambda) challenged me to do a collage of 2 identical photos, one in color and one in black and white, and make the color version look 10-times better... i really suck at taking direction... so... four photos once again... i was using my iPad to provide the coloured light... and the white light... although that one is inverted... because it was just too boring otherwise...
Love all your shots. And thank you for helping me on slow shutter. Can I ask another silly question? My canon t3i,,,,,,when the light is blinking at night the camera will not fire. I know it is telling me something is wrong, but I have searched my canon book and I can't find the reason for this. My long winded question is,,,,what setting is off? It usually happens when I am trying to shoot a moon shot. Thanks for your time.
@miata2u uhm... honestly... not sure... probably it's telling you either that it can't find focus, or that it can't get the exposure it thinks you need... what settings are you using? for night shots, unless you are shooting a moving subject, your best bet is to use a tripod and "manual" (not aperture or shutter priority)... and optimally, focus manually... this is actually pretty easy to do if you are using a tripod... because live view and the magnification feature make it pretty easy... (i can explain all this if you want - but if you know it already, reading the explanation would be a bit of an eye-roll ;p)
