Meet 'Nova' a nine year old Harris Hawk, who works for Atlantic Falconry Services with her handler Scott. I was super excited to capture some spectacular images today of this magnificent bird! And I was even more surprised to find that we share the same name!
They have been working in Halifax area since the summer of 2014 scaring away gulls from the waterfront while the tourists explore the city. I was thrilled to bump into Nova and Scott today in Bedford while out for my walk.

How cool is THAT...on ALL counts! Your photo is exquisite!!! Simply fabulous! You had to be thrilled, as who wouldn't be! Thank you for the welcome back! It felt good to get another photo posted, but since returning from a very busy 6 weeks in CA, we've been "just this busy" as the photo shows! We love these delightful and talented young people, but it keeps us from having too much spare time on our hands!
