The conditions were perfect to freeze bubbles. I just had to give it a try again this year, but I did a few things different. I did not try to shoot them outside on my deck, I went into the shed. The slightest breeze will carry your bubble away and it's way to cold to be chasing them around the yard with a camera and tripod. So I cleared a 18 inch space inside the shed by the window (which was not easy, because our shed if too full of 'stuff').
An upside down wine glass, my camera & tripod, a portable light and a long straw were some of the essentials needed for this session.
You had great success with your bubble session...this is beautiful! Thank you for the info you provided to help the rest of us who'd like to try this some day!
You are all so generous with your kind words and favs on my bubble image.
It was fascinating to watching the unique patterns form and swirl on each bubble as it froze and I've got lots more to share.
Today it's +5 C, but on this day it was a very chilly -11C.
Thank you all so very much, you have made my day! :)
This is so exquisitely gorgeous! Like beautiful Christmas wrapping paper! A card, definitely! A Postcard Even! You could say, "Having Fun! Wish You Were Here!" Can't wait to find myself in a shed on a super cold day someday!
