Dad's woodlot road by novab

Dad's woodlot road

This road was installed in the late 70's so my father and our neighbour could access their 75 acre woodlots. The road runs straight up the border with my father's lot on the right. We hauled many loads of wood over the years as my parents house was only heated by wood until a few years ago when they had a heat-pump installed. Now all the wood that remains at the farm (that is already cut and split) is mine, as I am the only one of their children that has a wood burning fireplace at my house.
Great story from a small photograph

Its stood the test of time very well, lovely lead in, composition and depth of field Nova, thanks for the background history, 75 acres of timber should see you through this winter at least:)

I like the leading lines and am thinking about having to cut wood to heat and cook and clean. I've had it pretty lucky in my life.

Thanks, Peter, Peter, Lynn and Kathy. As kids we worked so much harder than my kid, or my nieces and nephews, do these days. But I think we have better memories/stories than they will. :)
