I was surprised to see the little tiny flower in the centre of this bright yellow flower growing in my yard. It is very similar to a dandelion in colour, but I am not sure what type of plant it is. I am just happy to find it. I know I am going to love my macro lens this spring!
Thank you for viewing my project and propelling my “At the beach” photo from yesterday to the popular page. It made my day!
This is a great picture. I like the composition and processing in black + white very much. I don't know exacly, what flower it is, but for sure it is a plant from the big family of the Asteraceae. The flower heads look like single flowers and also act as a whole ecological flower to attract pollinators; but one blossom contains (depending on the type) one to thousand tiny flowers. This tinyflowers of an Asteracea bloom from outside to inside (centripetal). The macro lense opens a whole new world to us. I'm looking forward to see more detail pictures from you.
Fascinating. Nature is full of surprises. I would love to have a macro lens! I never really thought much about really close-up photos until I started this project.
Thanks so much ladies for liking it in b&w. When I looked at it in color the yellow is too distracting to the tiny flower in the centre.
Mona thanks for the info, I'm going to learn so much this year! :)
Thanks for taking the time to share your kind words and thoughts. Much appreciated. :)
@randystreat Thanks Kathy, yes, very bright yellow. :)
@lbingle365 I know Lisa, It is amazing what we don't really "see" until we start looking. That is what 365 has done for me. :)
