The ring

I've had this ring for many years and it was always tight and not often worn. So I dropped it off at the goldsmith to have it sized and picked it up this week. I needed to take a photo before I start wearing it, as it's never going to look this good again. I've learned, while taking the macro watch shots, that any little scuff/scratch or dust means lots of extra work in lightroom.

This image does not work for me in b&w for the month's theme so I'll put it in my 'extra album' and post the tp shot for my b&w image. Enjoy!

I love emeralds as it’s my birth stone. I have three rings which no longer fit my fat fingers - perhaps I should have them resized? Or loose weight? Lol! Your ring is gorgeous and I love your capture!

Thank you for all your kind words on my special ring. I was very careful when setting up this shot, and it was challenging as the ring surface is so very reflective. I did used the settings in lightroom to remove most of the colours except green. :)
