Peggy's Cove by novab

Peggy's Cove

Went for a drive to one of my favorite places yesterday. It was snowing in the distance, the wind was strong and the sun was shining and there were very few people around. Almost a perfect day, if it were not -12C with the wind-chill.

It's not a picture of an apple, so I'll put this shot in my 'extra album'.
A very dramatic image and you’re very dedicated at those temperatures.

I like the tiny lighthouse and the splash of the wave, lovely shot.

...I can see why this is your favourite spot, but come back in summer next time.

The lighting is terrific. The sea is fierce. The sky is threatening. Wonderful capture.

I am a huge fan of Peggy's Cove. My mother lives in Nova Scotia and every few years we drive from "The Big Smoke". My children love the drive. Typically we are there in the summer and I have to time my photos to eliminate pesky tourists. Were you in a boat when you took this image? Wonderful image.

@webfeet Thanks Chris, there would be no way in the world I would have been in a boat this day, as just driving in a car can initiate motion sickness for me. As you approach the turnoff to Peggy's Cove, you can stop along the road to grab a shot like this. :)
