The Antivirus subscription on Mums computer has been needing renewing for a while and we never seemed to have time to sort it when we visited. Then a couple of days ago we made the effort and got on the website only to get an error message right at the end. "Payment Authorisation failed" We tried our credit card and got the same message. then again on Sunday, the same thing happened. We tried to find a number to phone and speak to someone with no joy. Sent an email instead and no reply was received. Tonight I managed to find a phone number and got speaking to a person on the other side of the world she insisted we contact our bank as our card may be fraudulent. I wanted her to try putting the payment through manually and she refused, I said by-by and hung up in disgust. Then I found a NZ phone number and got a lovely helpful lady that was able to sort it out and put the payment through easily. She spoke our language although with an Aussie accent as she was based in NSW. Then we could visit mum and put the updated code in to once again protect her while cruising the web. I felt that we had been going round in circles so took this abstract while waiting for the updates to happen.
