Clinging on to life! by nzkites

Clinging on to life!

This morning as I reversed out of our property to go to work I noticed this lone Fuschia bloom clinging on for life, it wanted Summer or at least Autumn to remain. Tonight as I was driving home I thought of this little Fuschia bloom and its struggle to stay alive and wondered if it would still be clinging on, I thought about our simple yet complicated lives and how this little bloom was governed by nature. It really wanted to hang on and yet it was doomed . No matter how hard it hung on it was the only one left and it was eventually going to be forced to fall. How true this is in our own lives, sometimes we have control and sometimes we have none, we can delay but not stop progress, even if we don’t want to sometimes we just have to go with the flow. Even if we don’t want to we just have to fall. As the sun set on this little flower I wondered if it would still be there to brighten my tomorrow. I hope to see him or her tomorrow! I hope to see tomorrow and I will be looking for this little Fuschia bloom to brighten my morning. God Bless all the little blooms in our lives.
Your words are so true. Tenacious wee thing. Stirrings of memory of a Bible story where Jesus says something about unless a seed falls into the ground and dies it remains alone, but when it falls it produces fruit. So true in life. Sometimes you have to fall and let go and then the better, more fruitful thing comes. Falling sooner or later is inevitable but you never want it to happen, do you? Clinging on to life and what is familiar is such a deep and instinctive thing to do. I wonder if your little fuschia is still there today.......
