Today while moving our campsite and replenishing our water supplies I stopped at a marina where there is enough room to park our motorhome. Had a little nap as I was feeling a little tired. After about 15min, feeling a lot better I grabbed the camera and stepped outside very quietly as I had noticed a kingfisher sitting on a log on the beach. It was a bit far away though. Even for our new longer lens. I looked this way and that, pretending that I was not looking at the little KF. When I was close enough carefully kneeled and composed my shot, hoping that my excitement of this little bird still sitting in front of me would not cause me to shake the camera. BATTERY FLAT was all I remember seeing. I do have a second one in the MH! Anyway walking back to get it I stayed calm. When I returned the KF was not to be seen, but I did like the look of a red inflatable in the distance so focused on that. When I squeezed the trigger it was on multi-shot. I had an interesting talk with the owner of the red boat about the difference between a Kiwi and a New Zealander, most of what I agree with. After our evening meal I flicked through today's photos and I realized the little Kingfisher had Photo Bombed me as it was in every photo, but in a different place.
