This morning I drove down the road a little to where I had seen a few birds of prey previously, unfortunately, they were not to be seen today. What I did notice were a number of starlings that seemed to be hopping from the farm building to the power lines, anounscing their departure with a loud chirp and then going for a brief fly. Sometimes returning quickly and other times a little longer and holding a grub or worm in their beak.
