Year two: year one was quite a ride - thrilling, but quite stressful. So I'm going to do things differently for year two. Firstly, okavangohippo has a name - yeah - that's me, Lin. Secondly, though I may take a photo (or thirty!) almost every day, I am only going to upload and spend computing time about once every week or two. So I apologise in advance if I don't keep up with commenting and visiting everyone else's projects. Thirdly, I want to start some mini-projects that will help me experiment and stretch myself, some little themes, perhaps - are you ready for that, @bluegnu?

Home for me is Maun, Botswana, at the edge of the Okavango Delta, a wonderful wetland and wilderness area that pulses with life in the middle of the semi-arid Kalahari savannas.
