Shrapnel

This and other pieces I picked up after being bombarded for three day during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982.
I was a 20 year old soldier in UNIFIL, arriving two weeks prior to the invasion. Many other episodes occurred during my service in 1982-83, and many of them are tough to deal with. I also had good experiences there and I still have contact with “my Lebanese family” today.
Wonderful close-up, with many dark stories to tell, I’m sure.

@mrsdenisewilliams, I have experienced a lot, visiting a lot of countries and met a lot of interesting people, so I guess you’re right.

@lmsa it was indeed. I remember being in bomb shelter but not for how long. I’ve been told that we were there in three days while 800-1000 bombs were dropped around us.
