On my way home, I have to change trains in Darlington, we drew in beside this new one. The First railway was the Stockton to Darlington railway and a lot of the rolling stock was made in nearby Shildon. The works were finally closed some years ago causing a lot of unemployment.. It seemed ironic that here where the railways started was a new train made in Japan,
