Stone Bridge at Buttermilk Falls

It is a rare occassion when I oversleep, but that's what happened today. So my time of worship has been reading God's Word and thinking about what it means. After jumping back and forth between the Old and New Testaments, I landed on this passage in Colossians.

"For He (God the Father) delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption , the forgiveness of sins. And He (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rluers or authorities- all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."

It seemed to fit the picture I'd chosen for today. Jesus is a bridge in many ways. He connects us to God, He connects the elements of His creation and He connects God the Father to us. I'm glad to have such a Faithful Bridge in my life. This one may look lovely in the photo, but it is not something you'd trust yourself to walk across. Jesus, because He is God's Son, is a Bridge worthy of my trust.

Ann a fabulous photo, the colours are gorgeous! And I love the analogy of the bridge and Jesus, fabulous. You obviously love God and have a passion for Him, His word and His purposes. As I read your words today it helped me to focus on Him and what He has done, is doing and will do for me. Thank you.

@kkauter Thank you so much Kerrie. I often feel we are like-minded/kindred spirits in many ways as your posts often do the same for me. I am glad to be using the gifts God has given me on 365 and I'm glad He used me to bless you today!
