Spring by olivetreeann

Spring

It was time to spring into action. The S challenge was waiting for its "spring" shot. But where to find a spring in the wilds of Eastern Pa. I know where to find waterfalls and streams, but no springs. And springing to action is not always easy for someone with arthritis in one hip and both knees. Sadly, the time of year cannot be relied on either, as Spriing is long gone. Ah yes, a solution to the problem...a different kind of spring; a mechanical spring. That would do the trick! No, springs in the bed however. It uses air instead of coils. No springs on any of the doors. Lots of hinges, but no springs. It seems there are no springs of any kind anywhere...but wait! I have a thought. There might be springs on the fold down stairs to the attic. Hooray, there is!! Add in a little texture for looks and ta da- another S challenge conquered!!
Well, aren't you the clever one! This is a great picture, Ann. Really like this!

@karenann Thanks Karenann- truly appreciated your complimentary comment!
@steeler Thanks Howard!
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen- It was an ok picture sooc, but just adding the texture really kicked it up a notch.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@potsbypam Thanks Pam- once in a while I can put a spring in my step, but not with the atmospheric effects Irene is producing right now. Even my hands are hurting today! I'll be better once my body adjusts to the humidity and such. Glad you liked the story!
@jmj Thanks Jennifer!

Wow, I like how you thought this one through. A ball point pen has a spring inside :)

@mrssmith Thank you Carla- this was a really neat overlay texture that was basically a slate blue with yellow streaks on it. You'd never know that looking at the final product. But the stuff in the attic affected the way the overlay looked and the result was perfect for the shot.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick- now I didn't think of that one, but that would have been a good one too!

Great detective work to track down that spring! Nice shot too! Just the wildcards left now :)
(I was going to find the spring in a clothes peg if I didn't find any flowers!).

@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! Sometimes my thoughts are a little kooky!
@bkbinthecity Thanks bkb! I truly appreciate how faithful you are to comment on all my photos!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia- well, I've got one regular to make up (strong) and the rest are wildcards since I took the shopping photo today. You should still do the clothes peg spring. That would be a good shot no matter what.

Love the idea!~ I think I might have a hard time tracking down a spring. Great shot!

@sanera You can find one- you just have to keep looking!
