The Last Gasp by olivetreeann

The Last Gasp

I wanted to work with black and white today, so I decided to look about for something interesting. This one small patch of ice caught my eye. It's the last gasp of our recent snow shower, still clinging to life in one of the few spots on my deck that doesn't get full sun. I don't think it will last much longer, unless the cold weather they're promising for the weekend actually comes through.
Cool capture

Oh that isn't fair, we have 9-12 inches of snow on the way...I am going to take a selfie with myself buried in snow! This is a great black and white (even I wish we were melting here!)

Thank you all. My goal this year has been to work on macros. Originally I thought I'd be using the Nikon for that, but as I've had some trouble with the mechanics of it, I've gone back to the Canon p & s. For a little guy this camera can hold it's own. Thanks for all your comments- they mean so much!!
