Sometimes when something's ajar it sparks your curiosity. You stand on tip toes, peer around the corner, cautiously sneak a peek of what lies beyond. At other times, that drawer left slightly open or that container with its skewed lid begs to be corrected, reconnected as if setting it right will align the planets and bring peace to the world. Sometimes that crack of light across the kitchen floor, spilling from the inner sanctum of chilled food is enough to drive you crazy until the thought of fingernails scraping across a blackboard would be a more pleasant sound than the ever incessant hum of the refrigerator motor.
i've done this thing two times, and as a result emptied out the fridge. now, i wake up in the middle of the night when i hear the fridge motor and get up to check and make sure the door is closed. aaargh! good one, ann. and i love the processing!
I love this .... just fantastic! Your writing is awesome in this comment. You immediately brought up the same exact thoughts that I get when the fridge runs "forever!" And that crack in the door is very inviting .. no matter what the door leads to. Got me going on this one, Ann.
@woot Thank you Davide! I played around with a couple angles, layouts and b/w vs. color and decided I liked this one the best because of the pov. @sarasdadandmom That would be a chilly hide out! Thanks Terry! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! Thankfully this was set up and not left open. But I did come home 2 weeks ago one day and find the refrigerator door opened like this and the faucet on the kitchen sink dripping away. Very little processing on this one. Just added the "gritty" effect to bring out the contrast a bit more. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! @karenann Thanks Karenann. I must confess, I was not feeling great today so it sounds a little crabby to me! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! I was not my chipper self- well, I was cranky! Joints giving me some troubles and 3 nights of lousy sleep! So I look at what I wrote now and think, "Oh, words from a bad mood!!" lol @rhubbard Thanks Rich! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! Oh my- I'm not sure I'd put my refrigerator on the same par with Escher!!
Kind of a Hitchcock mysterious look at first. I hate open cabinet, pantry, and laundry closet doors...they call out "close me or be miserable all night!"
I am always leaving my refrigerator door ajar. I think I left like that all night. It doesn't always close properly. And the hum drives me crazy. Someday I'd like to buy a new one....Great picture today!
@espyetta lol My husband always leaves things just an 1/8 of inch shy of being completely closed. I go around and close everything after him!! @mrssmith I know Carla- it just keeps going on and on and on and on and... @tanja_1211 thanks Tanja! Well, I wouldn't be embarrassed to open it right now because it's clean!!
Super shot - the b&w is perfect. My fridge has an alarm that blings when you leave it open.. very sensible I'm sure but irritating as anything when unpacking the shopping...!
I love this.. it isan arffull ajar fridge door..normally I am quite nervous.. to seeit.. espacially when I see my kids open itup.. look for hours then not close properly.. great shot.. for ajar..
Thanks to all! No food was harmed during this shot and the door was definitely closed properly afterwards as I am the meticulous one when it comes to things ajar in the household. (o:

@netkonnexion Thanks Netkonnexion! Sometimes these words just pop out as I'm typing. I read them later and think "Oh my! That was a little strong, wasn't it?"
